Urodzony w 1972 roku w Gorlicach. Profesor Akademii Sztuk Pięknych w Warszawie, gdzie od 2010 kieruje Pracownią Ceramiki na Wydziale Rzeźby. Absolwent Wydziału Rzeźby ASP im. Jana Matejki w Krakowie (dyplom w pracowni prof. Mariana Koniecznego w 2000 r.) oraz Technikum Ceramicznego w Łysej Górze (1993). W 2014 roku uzyskał stopień doktora habilitowanego sztuki na Wydziale Rzeźby krakowskiej ASP. Uhonorowany nagrodami Rektora ASP w Warszawie (2011, 2019, 2023). Stypendysta Ministra Kultury i Dziedzictwa Narodowego (2014, 2020, 2023). Finalista międzynarodowego konkursu Taiwan Ceramics Biennale 2016. Uczestnik rezydencji artystycznej w Centrum Ceramiki Sabukaze w Setouchi (Japonia, 2024).
Autor szeregu wystaw indywidualnych, uczestnik kilkudziesięciu wystaw zbiorowych, wielu plenerów i konkursów międzynarodowych, m.in. we Włoszech, w Japonii i Tajwanie. Prace w zbiorach: Muzeum Narodowego w Krakowie, Centrum Rzeźby Polskiej w Orońsku, Muzeum Fryderyka Chopina w Warszawie, Międzynarodowego Muzeum Ceramiki w Faenza (Włochy), New Taipei City Yingge Ceramics Museum (Tajwan), Narodowego Muzeum Sztuki Ukrainy w Kijowie, Lwowskiego Pałacu Sztuki oraz w zbiorach prywatnych. Pomysłodawca i organizator I Międzynarodowego Triennale Rzeźby Ceramicznej w Polsce. Założyciel Stowarzyszenia Międzynarodowe Triennale Rzeźby Ceramicznej.
dr. habil. STANISLAW BRACH
Born in 1972 in Gorlice, Poland. Professor of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw since 2010, head of the Studio of Ceramics at the Warsaw Academy’s Faculty of Sculpture. A graduate of the Faculty of Sculpture at the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, Prof. Marian Konieczny’s studio (2000), and of the Ceramics Technical Secondary School in Łysa Góra (1987-1993). In 2014, he received a postdoctoral degree of doktor habilitowany in Fine Arts at the Krakow Academy. A
recipient of the 2011, 2019 and 2023 Rector’s Award at the Warsaw Academy and the 2014, 2020 and 2023 Ministry of Culture and National Heritage grants. In 2016, he received a Recommendation Prize of the Taiwan Ceramics Biennale 2016. Resident artist at the Sabukaze Ceramics Center in Setouchi, Japan in 2024.
Stanisław Brach’s work has been shown in many solo and group shows and he participated in a number of plein-air projects and international competitions in Italy, Japan and Taiwan. His works are in the collections of the following institutions: the National Museum in Krakow, Museum of Contemporary Sculpture of the Centre of Polish Sculpture in Orońsko, Frédéric Chopin Museum in Warsaw, the International Museum of Ceramics in Faenza, Italy, the New Taipei City Yingge Ceramics Museum, Taiwan, the National Art Museum of Ukraine in Kyiv and Lviv Palace of
Arts, as well as in private collections. The initiator and organiser of the 1st International Ceramic Sculpture Triennale Poland, and founder of the International Ceramic Sculpture Triennale Association.
